Clean Air Day

Coordinated by the Global Action Plan, Clean Air Day on the 20th June will bring together communities, businesses and the education and health sectors, with the aim to:

  • Improve public understanding of air pollution, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Build awareness of how air pollution affects our health.
  • Explain some of the easy things we can all do to tackle air pollution, to help protect the environment and our health too.

In 2018, more than 2,000 organisations and thousands of individuals took part in 550 events relating to clean air across the UK. Central to the campaign is the UK’s leading public information portal on air pollution and health, visit: http://www.cleanairday.co.uk¬†for more information.

Zero Emissions Day

Join the Global 24 Hour Moratorium on the use of Fossil Fuels!

The guidelines for Zero Emissions day are simple:

  1. Don’t use or burn oil, gas or coal.
  2. Minimise, or ideally eliminate your use of electricity generated by fossil fuels.
  3. Do your best, have fun and enjoy the day!

It is up to us to take care of our planet at this point. When you’re driving something this large, you have to stop every now and then and reflect on what’s working and what is not working to get you where you really want to be!

Zero Emissions Day provides just that opportunity to benefit everything and everyone on our planet.
