This year the Liverpool City Region will be taking part in a worldwide competition to see who can discover and report on the most wildlife in their City.
Our area covers Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens, Knowsley, Wirral and Halton and we will be pitched against the likes of Tokyo, Barcelona, Maui, Miami, Washington… oh, and Manchester…
You can report wildlife at any time during the event and from anywhere within the 6 districts. All you have to do is enter your record using iNaturalist (https://www.inaturalist.org/users/sign_in). Either the website or mobile app.
Final rankings will be reported on the 5th May 2019.
Get your friends and families involved. Spread the word as wide as possible! (except in Manchester) and if you run an organisation that would like to support this please share it with your staff or get in touch to find out more.
There is more general information from the organisers on their website (http://citynaturechallenge.org/) including resources for Schools and education centres.
